Hello!
How is everyone doing?
I am in the midst of an interlude in my neck of the woods—a busy one.
How about you?
I have been pondering a lot over here at Middle Musings, (as usual), but have not been able to properly put my thoughts into writing lately—due to that pesky, busy interlude I just mentioned.
A few things I have been thinking deeply about:
Were we meant to live in a world this big?
How to socialize more and stress less within the overwhelm of it all.
Humanity and faith in it.
The art and act of caring and why it matters.
Why resting and slowing down take so much discipline.
Burnout and it’s many forms.
Grief, death and the grounding forces in our lives and why we need them.
And, lastly I have been in very deep thought about why people have stopped placing toes on a foot that’s shaped like a rock on the trail I walk almost daily.
The mystery of it is anybody’s guess, but I have a few.
If any of this seems interesting to you, you will likely hear my thoughts on most of it in the coming months as I am hoping to find time to write again soon.
In the mean time, I hope you won’t mind me sharing a few pieces from the archives with you today.
Wishing all of you a lovely stretch ahead! XO

It’s an old, brick, three-story, post-victorian foursquare built in 1905, with an addition on the back and a cozy, covered front porch—perfect for hosting drinks with neighbors and friends, enjoying your morning coffee and for a big, brown, lazy dog to …
Why Am I Doing This?
Lately, I have had a lot of friends and family ask me why I decided to start writing on Substack.
I understand the energy drain and trying to stay relevant to those you love. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm intrigued about the foot rock thing. Glad you are getting to walk in the forest. Take care and lots of love 💕
